BIO
After playing the piano for four years, Tugce Bryant began learning the cello when she was 11 as a full-time music student at Bilkent University's middle school in Ankara, Turkey, where she was accepted with a full scholarship. Eleven years later, with countless recitals and concerts under her belt, she graduated from Bilkent University's Faculty of Music and Fine Arts School with a Bachelor's in Music Performance.
She completed her Master's studies under the tutelage of Steven Taylor at Valdosta State University and received her Master of Music Degree in Cello Performance in 2012 with a 4.0 GPA. During her studies at VSU, she was an out of state scholarship recipient and Teaching Assistant where she taught elective cello classes to non-music majoring students, coached her professor's cello studio students, and ran sectionals.
While residing in Georgia, Tugce played with many orchestras including, Valdosta Symphony Orchestra, Valdosta State Opera, Macon Symphony Orchestra, Albany Symphony Orchestra, and Pensacola Symphony Orchestra. She was also hired to play with the Hollywood Concert Orchestra and toured the United States and China with them.
In 2016 she moved to Hawaii and now plays with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra and teaches private lessons at Cello Academy Hawaii in Ewa Beach, at Red Hill Elementary School, and the Musicians Union on Kapiolani Blvd.
